UPDATE - JAMB 2018 Admission Policy Meeting To Be Televised Live On NTA

The JAMB's Head of Media, Dr Fabian Benjamin while speaking yesterday ahead of the 2018 JAMB Policy Meeting Scheduled to hold on June 26th, 2018 has disclosed that the proceedings of the meeting will be televised live on NTA from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. The meeting which will be held for the first time in the South-West region of the country (Osun State) will have in attendance all the stakeholders including heads of all tertiary institutions in the country as well as South-West State Governors. According to Dr. Benjamin there will be a live coverage of the meeting on NTA from 11:30am. to 1:30pm, so that Nigerians can follow the proceedings and also be able to get first-hand information on how the admission would be conducted, especially the requirements needed. The Jamb Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Has Orders All Institutions To Close 2017 Admission On 25th January. JAMB has ordered all institutions to conclude the 2017 Admission Processes on or before 25th January, 2018. This decision was reached after a meeting held, by the board, with stakeholders, on issues concerning admission processes, and the need to reconcile the academic calendar. According to the Board’s Head of Media, Fabian Benjamin, “Candidates who have gained admissions into various institutions and are yet to register or do not have admissions by January 25 should begin to make preparations for the 2018 UTME". Mr. Fabian also pointed out that UTME results are currently valid for only 1 year, and the board will inform candidates if there is any decision to extend the result validity. The 2018 UTME will hold between March 9 and 17, while the mock exams would take place in the first week of February. Candidates can start practic

Lagos State University (LASU) Open And Distance Learning & Research Institute Receives NUC Approval. The National Universities Commission (NUC) has approved by the establishment of the Lagos State University (LASU) Open and Distance Learning and Research Institute (ODLRI). The approval came after a recent visit by the Universities Regulatory Body to assess the facilities of the Institute at the Main Campus of the University in Ojo. National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) 2017 Batch ‘B’ (Stream II) Call-Up Letter Printing And Orientation Details The NYSC 2017 Batch ‘B’ Stream II Orientation Course is scheduled to hold in Fifteen (15) NYSC Orientation Camps only, namely; Abia, Bauchi, Benue, Delta, Enugu, Sokoto, Jigawa, Kaduna, Katsina, Plateau, Lagos, Osun, Oyo, Rivers and the FCT. The Orientation Course is to commence as follows;  (a) Commencement and Registration: Tuesday 16th January, 2018  (b) Cut-off date for Registration: Midnight Wednesday,17th January, 2018  (c) Swearing-In Ceremony: Thursday, 18th January, 2018  (d) Closing: Monday, 5th February, 2018 2.
